Bedsore

A bedsore, otherwise known as a pressure ulcer, starts as just a red spot on the skin. It occurs when you sit or lie in a single position for so long that the sheer weight of your body pinches off blood flow to a certain area. Usually, the danger spots are bony areas of the body, especially the hips, buttocks, and heels. If blood flow is cut off long enough, the affected skin can blister, deteriorate, and die. Left untreated, the sore can break through the skin and then extend through fat, into muscle, and finally expose bones.

Bedsore
Pour honey directly on the wound. Bacteria cannot grow in honey and it keeps the wound moist and allows it to heal.

  • Try to change position every two hours by avoiding continuous pressure on any specific part of body.
  • Spray antiseptic powder like goldenseal on the affected area every 4-5 hours.
  • Massage vitamin E oil all over the body. It is the best home remedy for bed sores.

  • Fill Lysol in a spray can and spray it daily on the entire body.
  • Pouring sugar poultice on the wound removes the poison from it.
  • You can also apply zinc oxide ointment, aloe Vera, wheat gram oil or comfrey.
  • Mix powdered comfrey leaves and slippery elm in equal parts to make a paste. Put this paste on a piece of cloth and tie it to the sore overnight. To disinfect the area, you can sprinkle goldenseal or Echinacea powder. Later cover it with cotton.
  • You can wash the sores at least 2-4 times a day by making a concoction of witch hazel and turmeric roots.
